Tuition, Withdrawal & Refund Policy
Effective August 2025
Plain-Language Summary: Tuition at Acton Academy St. George is billed monthly over a 10-month school year (September through June), with automatic payments on the 1st of each month. Withdrawing requires 30 days of written notice. Once a monthly payment has been billed or is due, it is non-refundable. Families using the Utah Fits All Scholarship follow the same notice and billing rules as all other enrolled families. UFA funds may never be returned directly to families; any eligible refund must be processed through the school and returned to Odyssey. By continuing enrollment, you agree to the terms below.
Tuition & Fees
Current tuition rates and fees for all studios are published on our website and updated annually. You can view the current tuition schedule at: actonstgeorge.com/admissions/#tuition-and-fees
Payments
- Tuition is billed monthly across 10 equal payments, due September 1 through June 1.
- Payments are automatically withdrawn on the 1st of each month via the payment method on file.
- Families enrolling mid-month will receive a prorated tuition charge for the remainder of that month.
- Annual upfront tuition payments are accepted and may be partially refunded on a prorated basis (see Refund Policy below).
Withdrawal & Notice
- A minimum of 30 days written notice is required to withdraw your child from Acton Academy St. George.
- Written notice may be submitted via email or via direct message in the school's Slack workspace.
- Notice received mid-month does not cancel the following month's payment. For example: if notice is submitted on January 15, the February 1 tuition payment remains due in full.
- Enrollment is considered active and tuition continues to accrue until the 30-day notice period has been completed.
Refund Policy
- Monthly tuition payments are non-refundable once billed or due, regardless of attendance or withdrawal date.
- Annual upfront payments may be refunded on a prorated basis for unused months remaining after the 30-day notice period is complete. Proration is calculated based on the school's 10-month billing schedule (September through June).
- No administrative or processing fee is charged on eligible refunds.
- Registration fees are non-refundable under any circumstances.
Utah Fits All (UFA) Scholarship Policy
Acton Academy St. George is an approved Utah Fits All Scholarship provider. The following terms apply to all families using UFA funds.

Equal Treatment of Scholarship Students
Tuition amounts, fees, and refund terms are identical for all enrolled families, regardless of whether a family uses the Utah Fits All Scholarship or pays tuition directly. Scholarship students are not charged different amounts and are not subject to different refund terms than any other student enrolled in the same program.
No Waiver of Transfer Rights
Acton Academy St. George will not require any scholarship student to sign an agreement waiving their right to transfer to another qualifying UFA provider at any time during the school year.
How Scholarship Funds Are Applied
- Scholarship funds are applied in equal monthly installments across the 10-month billing schedule. For example, an $8,000 annual award equals $800 applied per month.
- Any remaining tuition balance after scholarship funds are applied is the family's responsibility and is due on the standard monthly schedule.
Withdrawals Before the School Year Begins
If your child withdraws before the school year starts and UFA funds have already been distributed to the school, those funds will be returned to Odyssey and credited back to your child's UFA account. We will coordinate that process directly with Odyssey.
Withdrawals After the School Year Begins
- The standard 30-day written notice policy applies. No exceptions.
- Tuition payments for the current and next billing cycle (as required by the 30-day notice period) remain due in full.
- UFA funds applied to completed or obligated months are non-refundable.
- Acton Academy St. George does not issue prorated refunds of any upfront tuition payments after the school year has begun. In rare and exceptional circumstances (such as a family relocating), the school may, at its sole discretion, choose to issue a partial refund of unused upfront tuition. Any refund of UFA funds will be processed in coordination with Odyssey and returned to your child's UFA account, not to the family directly. Any refund of direct tuition payments will be returned to the paying family.
Withdrawal Reporting
When a scholarship student withdraws from Acton Academy St. George during the school year, the school will report that withdrawal to Odyssey within five business days of the withdrawal becoming effective.
Changing Schools
- If your child transfers to another approved UFA school, you must update your enrollment selection in the Odyssey Parent Dashboard within five business days.
- Odyssey will redirect future scholarship payments to the new school once the transfer is confirmed.
- If your child is transitioning to a non-approved school or home-based education, select "Home-Based Scholarship Student" in the Odyssey Parent Dashboard.
Refund Process
If you believe a refund may be warranted, here is how the process works:
- Contact the school first. Reach out via email or via Slack to request a refund review.
- The school initiates the refund. If a refund is approved, the school handles it through school administration. Odyssey cannot process a refund without the school's direct coordination.
- The school contacts Odyssey. Our team works with Odyssey to process the refund on your behalf.
- Funds are returned to your UFA account. Once received by Odyssey, the refund is credited back to your child's UFA scholarship account.
Important: Under no circumstances may UFA scholarship funds be refunded directly to a parent or child. This is a requirement of Utah state law (Utah Code 53F-6-405). Refunding families directly is against the law and may result in adverse action against both the parent and the school.
Fees & Additional Terms
- A $20 fee will be charged for any failed or returned payment.
- A $25 late fee will be applied to any payment that remains unpaid more than 5 days past the due date.
- Continued enrollment at Acton Academy St. George constitutes your agreement to this policy in full.
No exceptions to this policy unless required by law.
Non-Discrimination Policy
Acton Academy St. George complies with the anti-discrimination provisions of 42 U.S.C. Section 2000d (Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964) and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, or national origin in any program or activity.
